Martha Hill Duncan

Martha Hill Duncan is an award-winning composer, choral conductor and music educator. Originally from Houston, Texas, her passion for music started early, inspired by her mother, who sang and played the piano by ear. Martha began piano lessons at age 8 and went on to receive a diploma in vocal music from the first graduating class of The Houston High School for Performing and Visual Arts and later earned a degree in composition from The University of Texas at Austin. >>

Wes Froese

Wes Froese is a composer, performer and music educator in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He studied at the University of Regina with Bill Moore, and at the University of Saskatchewan with Robin Harrison. He also spent a year studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Wes is the former director of music at Horizon College and Seminary; founder and original artistic director of Eclipse Chorus, a Saskatoon community choir; and developer of the educational series Starting With Blues...>>

Christopher Norton

Born in New Zealand in 1953, Norton began composing early, and, by the age of 16, had an orchestral work performed and broadcast. Completing an honours degree in music from Otago University, Dunedin in 1974, he met with some success as a pianist in New Zealand, playing with the New Zealand Symphony orchestra. He was teaching music in local high schools, freelancing as a composer and arranger, and had also started to play keyboards in a rock band, having becoming interested in jazz and pop. Coming to the UK in 1977, he studied composition at York University with Wilfred Mellers and David Blake, writing a variety of pieces, including choral works, orchestral pieces, piano music and musicals. >>
