Northern Lights
Northern Lights is a new graded series of piano music by Canadian composers with each level consisting of two collections, a repertoire and a musical discoveries book, designed to inspire, educate and appeal to all students. Listed in festivals across the country, Pre-Reader through Level Six of Northern Lights have already been completed with Level Seven slated for publication in 2011.

Children can now play ‘cool’ Canadian compositions at their first piano lesson. The Northern Lights Pre-Reader progresses through natural processing. Northern Lights Pre-Reader is a great supplemental book for all methods of study. Students move easily through works without notation to simple notational reading while developing keyboard direction and orientation, as well as right hand – left hand designation. Young pianists are encouraged to use their voices by singing appealing lyrics while enhancing their rhythmic playing. Northern Lights Primer 1
Northern Light Primer 1 is sequential to the Pre-Reader. Released in July of 2012, this collection offers 29 new Canadian piano solos and improvisations for beginning piano students. Biographies and photos of the 15 contributing composers are included, as well as 'Creative Corners' for performance and pedagogy ideas.
