Musicianship Examinations

Musicianship exams are taken in a private setting with the examiner. They are included at all levels except the Introductory Performance Examination and the Performer's Associate Examination. These examinations may be taken during the same examination session as the general or theme performance exam, as a stand-alone exam or with a stream of the Music for Everyone program.

The Musicianship portion of the exam will include:

• Aural Tests
• Sight Reading Assessment
• Keyboard Harmony: Progressions, Harmonization and Transposition
• Piano Technique
• Improvisation
• Vocalization
