Coaching Classes offer a new, interactive, learning experience for piano students, enabling them to work directly with CNCM examiners and adjudicators.

  • Every music student will benefit from performing at a CNCM Coaching Class
  • Level and skill should never be a deciding factor
  • CNCM Coaching Classes maybe be used as an introduction to examinations
  • CNCM Coaching Classes provides an opportunity for students to prepare a smaller number of works yet set a goal similar to an examination setting
  • CNCM Coaching Classes may be a useful tool in preparing for future examinations or auditions
  • CNCM Coaching Classes may assist teachers with tips and approaches to teaching various topics
  • Invite all students within your community
  • CNCM Coaching Classes are available to all students and teachers regardless of their preferred school of examination
  • Students or teachers select their own repertoire or topic to be covered during the CNCM Coaching Class
  • All levels of study are welcome
  • All stages of preparation are welcome
  • CNCM Coaching Classes may be hosted in private studios
  • CNCM Coaching Classes may be requested during regularly scheduled examination sessions
  • CNCM Coaching Sessions may be requested as an independent event at another time (minimum of six hours required)
  • Participating students and teachers must provide a performance or topic list with the CNCM Coaching Class Application

Request a CNCM Coaching Class in your community

  • Complete a CNCM Coaching Class Application
  • For class dates OTHER than regular examination sessions contact the Office of the Registrar. Provide at least ten weeks notice for the class.

CNCM will:

  • Schedule the CNCM Coaching Class during regular examination sessions.
