Dear Friend of Youth,
On behalf of all of us at Northern Lights Canadian Conservatory of Music (CNCM), once again I bring you year end greetings. 2022 has been an exceptionally busy and rewarding year at the Conservatory as we celebrate our 20-year Anniversary and continue to grow our teacher and student base. We are especially excited about the addition of new leaders to our executive and their plans to continue to grow the Conservatory across Canada’s vast musical landscape.
Over the past 20 years, CNCM has developed a music curriculum that is truly unique offering a full 10 grades, all of which include Canadian piano repertoire. There are also diploma courses in piano pedagogy and performance, and a full line of music publications featuring works by well known and up-coming Canadian composers. There are interactive workshops featuring in-person and online Canadian composers. For example, Summer Sizzle is a music camp for teachers, kids and composers, which we are pleased to announce will return to Biggar, Saskatchewan in July 2023. CNCM is unique in its role of fostering musical skills as well as requiring students to perform their musical talent at exam time in front of an audience for the enjoyment of all. Now more than ever the development of a young person’s musical talent is such a productive alternative to the countless hours of device time that dominate their lives everyday. As CNCM continues to grow, we request your financial help. If you have donated to us in the past, we are grateful and hope you will continue your support again this year. If you have not donated previously, we would like to offer you the opportunity to become part of this vibrant growing organization as we expand to allow even more children to benefit from CNCM’s rewarding programs as a creative and structured outlet for our Canadian youth.
Your support can help in many ways:
$100.00 helps publish one composition by a Canadian composer
$250.00 helps pay for a child to attend Summer Sizzle Keyboard Kamp
$500.00 provides a scholarship for a promising young student
$1000.00 establishes you as a CNCM patron
Your donation of any amount will enhance the musical education of young musicians. Whatever amount you choose to contribute is income tax deductible, as we are a registered charitable organization.
Thank you for your consideration of this program. Sincerely,
Dale Donaldson, CNCM Chairperson
