Composers At Work

Programs/Exams > Composers At Work
The CNCM Composers At Work programs have been designed to connect composers, teachers, students and families through three exciting interactive online options.

Teachers, students and aspiring composers now have the opportunity to interact with Canadian composers from across this great country regardless of where they live and work.

Our grand launch includes two of our NEW Composers at Work programs as well as an adapted Composers & Kids featuring Canadian Jazz with
Wes Froese and Christopher Norton.

Canadian Jazz Monday: July 12

Composers & Canadian Jazz is a hands-on master class style session with Wes Froese and/or Christopher
Norton. Participants will upload a performance video of a Canadian jazz work(s) to their private YouTube
channel.

Repertoire Selections are as follows:
  • Wes Froese Jazz Sessions may include jazz works by ANY Canadian composer other than Christopher Norton
  • Christopher Norton Jazz sessions will include works by Christopher Norton ONLY
The selected composer and other participants will view the videos during the Composers & Canadian Jazz
session. Each participant will interact with the composer and other students during the online session in master
class style.

General Information:
Time: 45 minutes online session
Fee: $20.00 per session OR ANY 3 for $50.00
Participants will include: up to 4 participants plus the composer
