Sheila Tyrrell was born in Windsor, Ontario and obtained an Associate in Voice and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto. In Thunder Bay, Ontario, she completed the Associate for Piano [Conservatory Canada] earning the gold medal and Cora Ahrens Award. She teaches piano and voice and studies classical guitar.
Sheila has conducted choral ensembles of many types and is organist and musical director at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Peterborough, Ontario. She composes for piano, voice, guitar and choir. Her piano compositions have been used as test pieces for the Peterborough Kiwanis Festival for several years.
