Randy Demmon was born in Kamloops British Columbia. He is a pianist, composer/arranger and double bassist based in Ottawa who performs both as a soloist and in a variety of ensembles, often playing his own compositions and arrangements. He studied oboe with Warren Stannard and composition with Dr. Jean Coulthard-Adams at the University of British Columbia and is a strong promoter of Canadian Music. To date he has published four books of music: a collection of original compositions titled Place Settings , a volume of unique Christmas material titled Cool Changes , and two books for celtic harp/piano and voice.
