Norine BroomheadNorine is a veteran of Summer Sizzle having attended all 14. She is one of the founding members of Northern Lights Canadian National Conservatory of Music. Currently she maintains a private piano and theory studio in Mount Forest, is an examiner with CNCM and, is also Head of its theory department, active as a festival adjudicator, accompanist and church musician at First Baptist Church, Mount Forest.
Norine has a licentiate in piano from Trinity College of Music, London, and licentiate in piano pedagogy from CNCM, was a recipient of the Cora B Ahrens Award for excellence in piano pedagogy. She is past president of both the Georgetown Trinity Teacher’s Association and the Hanover Walkerton ORMTA. She is a former theory teacher for the Guelph Children’s Singers, Music for Young Children teacher, and music teacher at Arbor Glen Private School. Norine is a co-founder of the Mount Forest and District Arts Council and the Mount Forest Festival of the Arts, and member of the Kitchener Waterloo Community Orchestra. Norine has a passion for teaching students of all ages and being musically active in her community. |
