Ian Wong

Ian Wong was born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1979 and began studying piano at the age of 6. He earned his ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano Performance while studying with Garth Beckett at Wilfrid Laurier University. He is presently receiving private instruction in composition from Dr. John Burge. Ian has a strong interest in performing and recording his work and recently released an album of piano pieces called “Stories in Motion” in April of 2017. He is based out of Kingston and volunteers to promote the importance of arts in the community as a Board Member on the Kingston Arts Council.
