Fiona Evison lives in the beautiful and inspiring rural Grey-Bruce area of Ontario. She was born into a musical Scottish family who immigrated to Canada when she was a child. Music has always played an important part of her life, and she has enjoyed working with children's choirs ever since being asked to form one when she was 18 years old. She has experienced the excitement of directing, coaching, and accompanying soloists, choirs, and ensembles of all ages, as well as performance in piano, voice, flute, organ, handbells and percussion. She is about to finish her master's degree in Community Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she has been learning lots of new skills, including how to write very flexible, fun compositions that everyone can be involved in! She is active as a guest church musician, and has performed in Canada, the U.S., and Scotland. Her works have been performed by others across Canada, in the United States and Asia, with upcoming premieres in Scotland and Portugal.
