Ted Ellis
Ted Ellis is no stranger to Summer Sizzle audiences, attending and participating in Summer Sizzle from the beginning. His work as a founding member of CNCM has been tireless and inspiring, Summer Sizzle 10 once again welcomes Ted as guest clinician.
Ted has an Associate Performer's Diploma from the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music (Gold Medalist) and Associate Teacher's Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, A Licentiate Diploma from Trinity College in England, and a Fellowship Diploma the from same institution. He is an active member of the Welland Port Colborne Branch of ORMTA, having been president the past five years. An examiner for Canadian National Conservatory of Music, he considers it a privilege to be able to help students along their path to becoming self-reliant musicians. He also holds the post of organist/pianist of Wesley United Church in Welland. Ted had been teaching piano and music for 35 years to all ages of students privately and for 15 years in the Music for Young Children program. He enjoys sharing all aspects of music making, and utilizes the computer in the studio as an aid in motivation, ear training, and music theory. He loves empowering teachers and students with the awareness and skills available in the present and ever-growing potential of music technology.
