Heather Godden Waldner studied with Dr. Lyell Gustin in Saskatoon, and received her Associate from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto and her Licentiate from Trinity College of Music, London, England. Heather has been a Registered Music Teacher since 1978, an examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music since 1993, a festival adjudicator, a workshop clinician and an accompanist for choirs, solo voice and instruments, and for ballet classes and exams. For over 30 years she held positions as organist and music director in several churches. Under the name of Heather Godden Laliberte, and more recently, Heather Godden Waldner, she has composed and published a number of works for piano and voice through Godden Publications and most recently has composed a Concert Etude, “Lakeside” for Concert Band. Ms Waldner has led workshops on the Art of Practising, Examination & Festival Preparation and numerous theory topics. She currently resides in Warman, Saskatchewan, where she just finished her 56th year of teaching piano. She also teaches all levels and subjects of music theory, and plays trombone in the Saskatoon Concert Band and the 'Toon Town Big Band.
