Paul Coates is attending Summer Sizzle for the first time from Stratford, ON. Mr. Coates is a passionate and inspiring clinician who provides energizing and education workshops for all levels of teachers and students.

Paul Coates holds an ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance and an ARCT Diploma in Voice Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music as well as a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Coates has also studied at the Chautauqua Institute and the Banff School of Fine Arts. Mr. Coates has performed for Elizabeth Schwarzkopf in London, England, and has attended master classes with Gwendolyn Koldofsky, Elly Ameling, and Rudolph Jansen. He has enjoyed an active and varied career in performing as both singer and accompanist, performing in solo concerts, chamber music groups, with orchestras and for CBC and TV Ontario broadcasts.

Mr. Coates has been a faculty member of The School of Music, University of Windsor, and The Royal Conservatory of Music, where he taught in both the Community school and the Glenn Gould School. While maintaining a busy private studio, Mr. Coates is active as an adjudicator and a clinician for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association
