Isaac Holbrook
Isaac Holbrook is an accomplished pianist, performer, and teacher. His Colorado-based studio enjoys great success, offering a fresh and inspiring teaching style particularly well adapted for today’s students. Isaac focuses on the development of well-rounded musicians, with instruction in all aspects of music including interpretation, theory, history, composition, and improvisation.
Mr. Holbrook’s teachers have included David Korevaar, Carolyn Shaak, Alvin Chow, and most recently Larry Graham. Isaac has also studied at the renowned International Institute for Young Musicians, a summer music academy for outstanding pre-college students.
Isaac is now a manager at the International Institute for Young Musicians where he handles the recording of live concerts and teaches a class on recording live performance. He also assists with media communications and teacher relations for Novus Via Music Group, publisher of the series American Popular Piano by Christopher Norton and Dr. Scott McBride Smith.
Mr. Holbrook received his undergraduate degree in piano performance from the University of Colorado and is presently pursuing graduate studies. He has performed in scores of solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts, as well as many music festivals and piano competitions. In his free time, Isaac enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, and exploring a wide range of music – contemporary and classical.
